United Nations threat to gun ownership imminent

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently announced the Obama Administration will be working hand-in-glove with the United Nations to pass a new "UN Small Arms Treaty."

This is disguised as an "International Arms Control Treaty" to fight against "terrorism," "insurgency" and "international crime syndicates".  In reality the UN Small Arms Treaty is a massive, global gun control scheme.

Eventfully, this treaty is designed to register, ban and confiscate firearms owned by private citizens world-wide.

The Obama administration has already signed on in support of the treaty, but it still must be ratified by a two-thirds vote of the US Senate.

Because the Senate is likely to change drastically next November, the pressure will be intense to ratify the treaty before the next election, while the Senate is still led by anti-gun Democrat Harry Reid.

After more than a decade of negotiating, the UN is scheduled to have a treaty finalized and ready for ratification this year, 2012.

It is becoming difficult to ignore our federal government, under the leadership of President Barack Obama, transforming our nation from a free society, protected by our Constitution, into a socialist regime where rights and privileges are distributed by an elite ruling class that rewards its friends and punishes its enemies.

And first on the agenda of any socialist regime is the disarmament of the civilian population so that they cannot fight back against government tyranny.  This Administration is very supportive of the elimination of our gun rights.

One has to look no further than events in Syria today as the most recent example of unarmed citizens are being slaughtered by the thousands.  Civilians in Syria are left to beg for weapons so they can defend themselves and their families against their own tyrannical, murderous government.

Make sure you contact your Senator and tell him to oppose ratification of any UN Small Arms treaty.
